Be Inspired by Martha Graham: You're Never Too Old to Be Alive
Friday, June 2, 2017
Description:
Are you ready to permit life to use you in a very intense and authentic way? You can either wait to die or you can be alive. The choice is yours. Join Lisa Natoli as she talks about one of her top role models and inspirations in her own life: American dancer and choreographer Martha Graham (1894–1991). If you feel that you are "too old" to do things you love, this show is for you!

Martha Graham was 76 when she felt her life was over, after a lifetime of great success. When she stopped dancing, she lost her will to live, began drinking, and ended up in the hospital for a long time, much of it in a coma. Graham not only survived her hospital stay, but thrived. In 1972, she quit drinking, returned to her studio, reorganized her company, and went on to choreograph 10 new ballets and many revivals. Graham choreographed until her death in New York City from pneumonia in 1991, at age 96.

Also in this one-hour show is Louise Hay's story. She started her life in her 50s after making a decision to stop being a victim and begin sharing her light with others. Now is a great time to connect with the light you are and start doing the things you really love to do.
