Program Overview

Compassionate Communication with Scott Catamas is for anyone who wants to improve their relationships and connections. This program offers tools and techniques that all listeners can apply to their lives. These tools are nondenominational and cross-cultural. They are taught throughout the world and are simple yet effective.
Scott is a Master Coach and Communicator who travels throughout the United States, Europe and Asia teaching these tools. This program will frequently come live from various cities around the world where Scott is teaching. Guests will bring real relationship issues to Scott, where the tools will be demonstrated and practiced.
During this program you can learn:

● New ways to enjoy life more fully, despite any challenge.
● How to express yourself in ways that others can fully hear you.
● How to solve a problem with everyone involved feeling understood.
● How to be the best parent and/or friend you always wished to be.
● How to set boundaries in a compassionate way.

● The tools and practices of Compassionate Communication, based on Dr. Marshall Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication system.

Host Bio

Scott Catamas
Scott Catamas has dedicated his life to the education and enlightenment of all people through communication. He has won multiple Emmy awards for his educational television programs, which were broadcast nationally over PBS. Scott has also produced a wide variety of programs for HBO, SHOWTIME, NBC, UPN, FOX and PBS. He has reached millions through programs that he wrote, directed and/or produced via theatre, film and television.
In 2001, Scott was introduced to Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, the founder and creator of Nonviolent Communication, also known as NVC. Marshall’s organization hired Scott to produce video projects about Marshall and NVC. This provided Scott with the opportunity to travel with Marshall while filming his work. "I was deeply touched by the dynamic power of these tools, as well as the simplicity. I saw that anyone, regardless of their educational or cultural background, could immediately improve their relationships. I have been studying, practicing and teaching these tools ever since,” remarks Scott.
Scott currently teaches classes and workshops throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. In the past two years alone, Scott has traveled to numerous states and a dozen countries. He also provides private coaching for individuals, couples, families, churches and businesses.
Scott’s other interests include the Global Oneness Movement and environmental activism. He was trained by Al Gore as a “Climate Project Presenter” and volunteers his time to high schools, colleges, conferences, festivals and fairs. Scott receives weekly updates from the Climate Project, and meets with Mr. Gore and his team once or twice a year. Scott’s presentations on the environment balance messages of urgency, hope and inspiration. He provides both scientific knowledge about our challenges and specific solutions that are now available.
Scott also spent time in India at the University of Oneness, where he learned how to give Oneness Blessings (also known as Deeksha). He has a long history of spiritual practice and study in a wide variety of disciplines and schools of thought. Scott honors all pathways to the Divine. He often starts and ends his workshops with Oneness Blessings.
