Gabriel is actively engaged in finding his new passion and purpose. His meditation practice has even brought him an unexpected idea; maybe he should write a book! He originally thought he was working with Dr. Chris to heal his finances, but that is not the case. Spirit always has a greater plan for us.

Gabriel had a loving conversation with his wife and shared his feelings about what has been troubling him. This brought him much-needed relief and clarity. He feels that in this short time working with Dr. Chris, he has been given a spiritual adjustment! He feels empowered and more like the impassioned Gabriel of his past. He has plans to increase his community involvement and pro bono work as a consultant.

  • Original air date: Monday, April 06, 2015
    Episode Description:
It was great to meet Tamie and Gabriel for their first week on Healing Your Life with Dr. Chris. They determined a plan of action and are moving in the direction of their healing.

Tamie feels that fear and worry have taken control of her life. She is single, a business owner, and has decided to become a mother through artificial insemination. She has wanted to have a child since she was a teenager. Now in her 40s, her biological clock is ticking and it is time! She worries about her finances and the new responsibility of being a mother. But is that really the problem?

Gabriel feels he is drifting through his life without motivation and accompanied by guilt and shame. He has had a successful career as a consultant and mentor. He is married with children and grandchildren he loves deeply. He has battled addiction to alcohol throughout his life and had health concerns in his 60s, but he feels he has navigated these concerns successfully. So why has he lost his passion and motivation?

Tamie, Gabriel, and Dr. Chris will have a great deal of work to do in the next four weeks. Join us as they set their intentions and place a demand upon consciousness for healing and spiritual renewal.

But when one door closes, another opens! Now he sees his addictive behaviors increasing in other areas of his life. Dan found a support group to join for his addictions and was starting immediately. He is even considering a second group to work on his new obsession with pornography. He is taking the proper steps and will increase meditation and journaling as his new spiritual practice.

The first time Jane was with us, she and Dr. Chris focused on the demise of her marriage and an impending divorce. Now she is divorced but still sad and feeling her past is not healed. She took four months off and just concentrated on healing. But there is more work to be done. She and Dr. Chris will concentrate on healing her past so she can move forward into a healthier, happier future.

Dan is a loyal listener who felt he was ready for some concentrated spiritual work. He describes himself as a “functional addict.” Dan will be joining us for the next few weeks to work with Dr. Chris, seeking clarity and a spiritual renewal in his life.

  • Original air date: Monday, February 02, 2015
    Episode Description:
Our time with our guests flies by! We are already in our final week with Julie and Bob.

Julie has seen success with her daily commitment to spiritual practice and writing. She is encouraged by the growth and response of her followers. She is looking for and finding inspiration in ever-expanding avenues. Julie seems to have found her voice, and it is divinely inspired!

Bob is passionate about his career path. He and Dr. Chris have developed a plan to not only increase his business but to increase his self-esteem. He can be proud of himself for actively pursuing prosperity and joy through his spiritual practice and dedication. We all do better when we know better!
  • Original air date: Monday, January 26, 2015
    Episode Description:
It is so interesting to hear our guests share their experiences and ideas with us on Healing Your Life. Julie and Bob came on the show with different concerns, but as it turns out, they have similarities. They are both creative people who have a strong desire to share their interests and passion with others.

Julie felt accomplished after her first week committed to daily writing. As Dr. Chris remarked, every day she has an appointment with the Divine. Her inspiration comes from her meditation and spiritual work where she connects with her Source. Julie is committed to her work but knows she must also find balance for her professional and private life to be truly successful.

Dr. Chris asked Bob to actively pursue joy and do things that will make him feel proud. Bob found that when his hands are busy with creative projects, his mind is quiet and he is at peace. In our first show, Bob could not think of a single thing in his life that he felt good about. That is changing!
  • Original air date: Monday, January 19, 2015
    Episode Description:
Last week we welcomed Julie, who is a loyal listener and a guest more than two years ago. Julie is creatively inspired to share her ideas and life with people through social media. Her challenge is to bring her best ideas to fruition. Like so many of us, she lets life get in her way. Dr. Chris points out what she already knows: We can find numerous excuses not to do what we know we should. Julie has committed to scheduling time daily to write and blog.

Bob, another faithful follower, joined us for the first time. Bob has built a lifetime on the habit of comparing his life to others and feeling inadequate. He sees this as a pattern developed in childhood that he is unable, as yet, to break. Dr. Chris shared some ideas for changing this old, established pattern. What does Bob enjoy doing? What makes him feel good about himself? Whatever the answers, continuing to do the things that make you feel good and proud will eventually change how you see yourself. Just as a daily spiritual practice will enrich the quality of Bob’s life, building self-esteem will lead to self-love and appreciation. Bob has forgotten the truth about himself. Dr. Chris is here to remind him!

Stay with us to share in the lives of our guests on Healing Your Life with Dr. Chris.

    Episode Description:
It is hard to imagine, but four weeks have passed and it is finale week with Kathy and Ralph on Healing Your Life!

Kathy shared her week with us and it was an emotional and stressful week that just wasn’t fun for her.  Her sister is moving away and that is uncomfortable for Kathy, who has a close bond with her sister.  She found herself in several situations that were stressful so she turned to computer games, once more, to numb her emotions. She forgot the advice from Dr. Chris to sit with her emotions and feel them. Kathy is having growing pains. She is actively committed to her spiritual growth, but it is a process and takes time.

Ralph is having a wonderful time. He feels that he has made the perfect choice for his future and Life is showing up to support him. People are offering advice, suggestions, and invitations that all link to his dream of a new life as a yoga instructor. To Ralph, everything is clear and the path is an easy stride down hill. Dr. Chris gave him some pointers for the times that he might not feel so encouraged.

Join us this week to say goodbye to Kathy and Ralph, knowing that Spirit will be there to guide them.
  • Original air date: Monday, October 27, 2014
    Episode Description:
Our guests, Kathy and Ralph, are making great progress while working with Dr. Chris on Healing Your Life!

Kathy agreed to not play computer games while she is working with Dr. Chris. That gave her hours of time to fill that otherwise would have been spent playing. So what did she do? She spent her time in a different, more productive way. She worked on home projects, read, gardened, made lunch dates with friends, and enjoyed herself. Admittedly, she missed gaming. There were times she felt empty without her addictive pastime. Dr. Chris suggested she make time to feel all her emotions. Be bored, upset, empty, or however she feels, just feel it. When it is time, she can fill the empty space constructively.

Ralph had a very emotional week. He said goodbye to the former corporate, white-collar Ralph and re-enforced the farewell by discarding all his suits, ties, and business awards. That was bold and brave! He began telling his friends he was going to be a yoga instructor. He started the process necessary to bring his dreams and vision into full fruition. He has taken the first steps on the path to his new life!

Join us today as Kathy and Ralph bravely share their experiences with us. They are fully committed to healing their lives, and Spirit will be there to support and guide them along the way.
  • Original air date: Monday, October 20, 2014
    Episode Description:
A week ago, we met two new guests on Healing Your Life with Dr. Chris. Kathy and Ralph will be working with Dr. Chris for four weeks to expose and heal a concern in their lives.

Kathy discussed her history with addictive behavior. For most of her life, she can recall being addicted to something. Shopping, food, sex, and smoking are all on her list of addictions she has experienced. Today, her addiction of choice is computer games. She can easily spend 6-8 hours daily engrossed in her current favorite. She is troubled by this and believes her behavior is unhealthy and limiting. Dr. Chris has asked that she not play computer games for the next few weeks. Her assignment is to fill her free time with something new, constructive, and fun.

Ralph joined us at a very interesting and exhilarating time in his life. He is 67 years old, and after losing his corporate job, he has decided to change his life! Ralph has discovered meditation and yoga in his recent years. He is embracing the vision of himself as a meditation and yoga instructor. He feels passionately about the practice and the value it brings to life. Dr. Chris has asked Ralph to bring us a clearer picture of what his life would look like as an instructor. A more detailed picture of his new life will assist in bringing his vision into full fruition.

Join Dr. Chris, Kathy, and Ralph as they intensify their work and increase their commitment to renew and heal their lives.

    Episode Description:
Our time with Kenya and Kim has flown by! But they have both made progress and shown their commitment to their healing and spiritual practice.

Kenya has been looking for employment. She feels she would have been hired by now if not for her pregnancy. This has upset her plans, but she is determined to move forward with the best of her ability. She is going to work on creating the life she wants to live through the use of a vision board. She is very creative, so I expect she will have a lot to share with us this week.

Kim has found success using her new mantra to control her anger. She is taking back her authority and making great strides on her path to peace and healing. She has written powerful letters to people who have caused her great pain. Dr. Chris has asked her for one more letter. She has worked through a great deal of anger and many emotions by writing these letters. Maybe with this last letter she will experience a breakthrough and find it within herself to forgive the man who molested her as a child. We know forgiveness is a gift we give to ourselves. Maybe then she could live in peace without anger as a companion.

Join us for the final week with Dr. Chris, Kenya, and Kim. We appreciate their bravery for sharing their lives with us, and all of you who listen weekly to Healing Your Life with Dr. Chris.
  • Original air date: Monday, August 18, 2014
    Episode Description:
Our guests, Kim and Kenya, have made real progress while working with Dr. Chris. They have made strong commitments to themselves and their healing through spiritual guidance.

Kenya was not able to join us on the show this past week. Part of her challenge has been to find employment. This past Monday she had two job interviews. She is making progress and taking the steps necessary to improve her life.

Kim shared two powerful letters with us as part of her healing process. She wrote a letter to her mother and the relative who caused her so much grief and pain in her childhood. Dr. Chris assigned her the task of writing additional letters to release the pain and anger she still harbors for these people and events. She has a talent for expressing her feelings in this manner. The question remains: Will she mail them?

Join us this week to follow their progress and support these brave women on Healing Your Life with Dr. Chris.
  • Original air date: Monday, August 11, 2014
    Episode Description:
It was great to meet Kenya and Kim for their first week on Healing Your Life with Dr. Chris. They determined a plan of action and are moving in the direction of their healing.

Kenya is distraught that her decisions have brought her to where she is now. She is 32, pregnant, jobless, and living in subsidized housing. She has been successful in her life; how did this happen? Assuredly, some poor choices were made and now she is on a correction course. She has a baby due in five months, and she wants more for herself and her child.

Kim loves her family and her partner. But her old habits and learned behaviors from her abusive, anger-filled childhood could potentially destroy her current relationships. Kim has been through therapy to heal and forgive, but she still has anger to deal with. Anger has been her companion for years. She is looking for guidance to move through her anger, the inevitable sadness, and embrace forgiveness and healing.

Kenya, Kim, and Dr. Chris will have a great deal of work to do in the next three weeks. But they have set an intention and have placed a demand on consciousness for healing and spiritual renewal. Please join us and pray for their success!

Maggie and Angie have made wonderful progress working with Dr. Chris the past five weeks. They have achieved powerful and measurable results thanks to their commitment to their healing and spiritual practice.

Maggie is a happier person today than she was five weeks ago. In her own words, she is joyful, loves herself more, is present, and her voice is coming back! With her doctor’s approval, she has reduced her intake of Paxil without negative side effects. She is back to work and engaged in the career that she had avoided while she was struggling with depression. We are thrilled for her and very proud of the hard work she has demonstrated.

Angie was having a hard time with her love and joy challenge so she decided to write about it. Writing unleashed her feelings and helped her to get in touch with what makes her happy. She is a very creative person who needs a creative outlet that is about receiving good instead of service to others. She is a master at service to others but she will strive to practice the art of receiving until it is comfortable and integrated into her life.

These women have something to share that will touch every person in our listening audience.
  • Original air date: Monday, June 23, 2014
    Episode Description:
This past week we met Maggie and Angie, who were very open and candid about their lives. They are brave, compassionate survivors who are struggling to build a quality life from a background of repeated abuse.

Maggie feels she is losing herself and is depressed with the quality of her life. She has healed so many wounds from her childhood but is still so far from the peace she longs for. Now she is even losing her voice! She believes it is from the stress of her life and not a physical issue. Angie has a long history with food addiction and codependency. She did not come from a family that offered a good example to an impressionable child. She was the oldest child in a household with a workaholic father and a seriously depressed mother. It was Angie’s job to take care of everybody. No wonder she did not learn to care for herself. She found her comfort in food.

These women have a great deal in common, from sexual, emotional abuse to parents who had no parenting skills, and a childhood scarce in nurturing. Their five weeks with Dr. Chris will be intensive. But they are committed to their healing and brave enough to share their experiences with you on Healing Your Life with Dr. Chris!

Kacy and her family are part of a larger community of parents with HIE-diagnosed children. They have been their own support group, sharing all the information they have garnered from their experiences.  They have a strong connection and desire to give the help and support that was hard to come by and even lacking for them in their time of need. Kacy’s vision is unfolding. It is complex and ever-expanding.  Each week she and Dr. Chris dig deeper into the possibilities and work to bring forward a clear and concise picture. Dr. Chris asked Kacy to return to the show with a clearer vision for her future. She came back with seven pages of ideas and an ever-expanding vision she shares with her husband, Dan. They dream of one location in Kansas City where a family can come to obtain all the complex information and support they will need to navigate successfully as a family with a special needs child.

As you listen to her story, to the details of her business plan and vision, you may feel this is her destiny. It is a plan that is maturing into a reality that will change lives and improve the world.

  • Original air date: Monday, April 28, 2014
    Episode Description:
Last week we met two new guests on Healing Your Life with Dr. Chris. We introduced Kacy, a first time guest to the show, and Johanna, who has been with us previously.

Kacy and her husband have a dream of opening a facility in Kansas City designed to assist special needs children and their families. This is a vision that both exhilarates and terrifies her. They are parents to two wonderful children, their oldest being a special needs daughter and their youngest, a son. Through the last few years since their daughter’s birth, their lives have changed completely. What they discovered is that Kansas City is ill-equipped to help and support a family with the deluge of information and decisions that must be made in their situation. Many couples who deliver a special needs child will separate from the stress caused to their marriage or relationship. And beyond the counseling they will require, the day-to-day struggles they will face, there is the financial responsibility that follows. The couple envisions establishing a location for these children and their families that will supply necessary counseling, information. and support.

Johanna has come back to the show looking to end her long struggle with addiction. She can cover it up, disguise it, and deny it but the truth is she is an addict. She is uncomfortable in her own skin and often ashamed of the behaviors she repeats. She has had success healing pieces and parts of her life, but she feels ready to face her demon and be made whole again. She wants to love herself, her life, and the legacy she will leave to her child. She is coming to Dr. Chris for the third time looking for the truth and encouragement to finally relegate her disease to her past.

Join us to hear Kacy’s vision unfold and Johanna’s progress finding a support group she can commit to. Dr. Chris will be there for them with his unwavering belief that Spirit provides us all with the ability to heal any situation in our lives.

    Episode Description:
Ross and Jeanne have had many epiphanies and “aha” moments on Healing Your Life with Dr. Chris. Last week was no exception!

By week three of their time spent with Dr. Chris, they had surprised themselves with what they willingly shared on the radio and what has been healed for them because of it. Forgiving themselves for their past and the pain they feel they inflicted on others has opened their eyes and hearts to new developments.  They believe living with regret blocked the flow of good in their lives. Although they felt others misunderstood and passed judgment on them, they found they had been their own harshest critics. But no more! They spent years waiting to be together, and now they want to celebrate their love. They are committed to each other and love the life they are living together.

In addition, Jeanne shared that she was diagnosed with cancer more than two years ago. She and Ross have a dynamic story but now they are sharing a new dimension with you, our listeners. We will hear more from them this week about the effects of cancer on their relationship and how Jeanne has chosen an alternative path to heal her body.

They are an amazing couple with an amazing story. Don’t miss a single show with Ross, Jeanne, and Dr. Chris!
  • Original air date: Monday, March 31, 2014
    Episode Description:
Ross and Jeanne have been so open and wonderful to share their story with us on Healing Your Life. But they have so much more to say!

Each hour they spend with Dr. Chris, they seem to grow by leaps and bounds. They have implemented new ideas and suggestions to increase their level of intimacy and improve their communication skills. They are faithful to their spiritual practices and dedicated to their path of forgiveness and healing.

Ross has accepted his responsibility for what he believes brought pain and suffering to his loved ones. Dr. Chris has encouraged him to accept what is past and no longer think of himself as the person causing damage. Maybe, it is time to live in the present. He is a different person today than he once was.

Jeanne shared the story of how she met and fell in love with Ross—twice! They seemed destined to be a couple and even divorced their long-term partners to be together. Whether you have found yourself in a similar situation or not, I believe their story has value to all couples.

Don’t miss the third show with Ross, Jeanne, and Dr. Chris. This is truly reality radio!
  • Original air date: Monday, March 10, 2014
    Episode Description:
It is great to have Ross and Jeanne, a married couple, back with us on Healing Your Life!

Although their desire for healing stems from the aftermath of pornography addiction, I believe their challenges are applicable to many couples. We all have room to improve our intimacy, trust, and boundaries in relationships.

Ross feels threatened and defensive when Jeanne comes to him for emotional support. Although he understands it is his place to support her, he can’t help feeling cornered and controlled. He could trace these emotions to his past repeatedly, but he is not interested in sourcing them, just eliminating them. It is uncomfortable to feel these emotions, but as Dr. Chris points out, feeling the emotion and not running from it is a key to his future success.

Since our last show with Jeanne, she has been on the path of radical forgiveness. She shares the belief that what happens to you, happens for you. That is a very personal and enlightened path to choose. It is obvious that her dedication to daily spiritual practice has paid off. She and Ross have chosen to ground themselves in Spirit and focus on their belief that all can be forgiven and healed.

Join us on Healing Your Life for week two with Ross, Jeanne, and Dr. Chris!

  • Original air date: Monday, February 24, 2014
    Episode Description:
Amanda and Michelle are in their final week with Dr. Chris. We greatly appreciate their brave choice to share their stories with us on Healing Your Life. They have made wonderful progress and are moving in the direction of the lives they deserve and desire.

Not only is Amanda working with Dr. Chris, she has also hired a life coach. She is determined to improve her self-esteem and heal her life. She has created a daily, weekly, and monthly self-care plan she is now following. She is practicing new spiritual principles and calling into action her higher good. What else is next for Amanda? She and Dr. Chris believe she is ready to date again. She will be joining a dating website where she can move forward comfortably at her own pace. She believes she is making better choices for her life and is able to trust those choices for her future happiness.

Michelle has learned a valuable lesson: Learn something from a negative experience and move on! She is ready to leave her “story” behind, forgive, and accept. She is replacing her old emotions of anger and betrayal with acceptance and a greater appreciation for herself and her right to happiness. She believes she will be happier living in a different city, one that better matches her creative nature. She is honoring her ideals with choices that bring her greater joy, and she is saying “yes” to life again!
  • Original air date: Monday, February 17, 2014
    Episode Description:
It is always a blessing to support our guests as they transition through their healing process. Most often, their thoughts and desires for healing change rapidly while working with Dr. Chris.

Amanda came to our show because she was tired of being angry. She had a good reason to be angry and upset with a boyfriend who put her in harm's way. But after her first writing assignment, we see that Amanda is primarily upset and angry with herself. She ignored her intuition, settled for less than she deserved, and left herself vulnerable and disappointed.

Michelle thought she was done with her past and any future relationships, primarily with men. But in week two with Dr. Chris, we saw that she is deeply hurt and is not emotionally finished with her ex-husband. Being so emotionally wounded that you withdraw from life and people to protect yourself does not work in the long-term. It is time for Michelle to revisit her pain, process it, and move forward with her life.

As always, I am so proud of our guests. It takes a tremendous amount of courage to bare your soul on live radio. The work is difficult. But it is worth it to Amanda, Michelle, and all of our listeners on Healing Your Life with Dr. Chris!

  • Original air date: Monday, February 10, 2014
    Episode Description:
Amanda was the victim of a sexual assault involving a man she was dating. For the past three years, she has avoided relationships and found solace in food and shopping. But Amanda knows she is angry; angry with him and angry with herself. She has felt ashamed, disappointed, and unworthy of love. Amanda has come to Dr. Chris because she is tired of carrying the burden of yesterday’s mistake. She is ready to face her emotional demons and move forward into a future she deserves.

Michelle feels that her entire life has been filled with relationships that have left her alone and disappointed. She doesn’t even hold fond memories of her parents or family. She believes it is easier to withdraw from life and people entirely than to suffer this continuing disappointment. She specifically does not trust men and doesn’t feel the desire to embrace any romantic relationships.

But retreating from life and people has not made her happier. Michelle has a deep sadness to heal. She is looking to Dr. Chris for help and guidance.

    Episode Description:
It is surprising how quickly five weeks goes by! We are at week five with Ross, Jeanne, Jamie, and it is time for their final show with Dr. Chris.

Ross has done wonders healing his addiction. As he said five weeks ago, the side effects of his addiction still cause problems in his life. Dr. Chris has offered some ideas and tools for Ross to use in the future. But I loved the advice he gave Ross, to not take the rest of his life to get over this—be done with it now!

Jeanne has so much to say about sexual addiction, and our commonly held ideas about sexuality, that I believe she could write a best-seller on the subject. She is very insightful and completely invested in helping others deal with healing sexual addictions.

Jamie has a simple tool in dealing with her inner critic. Does it feel good? She is learning to turn away from the old critical voice that made her feel like less and tune in to the voice of self-appreciation and love. As Dr. Chris said, “Let the higher self love the lower self.” Jamie gets it!

Join us for the final show with Ross, Jeanne, Jamie, and Dr. Chris!
  • Original air date: Monday, December 02, 2013
    Episode Description:
Welcome to week four with our guests on Healing Your Life. They have inspired us with their success and commitment to their spiritual growth and healing.

Ross still struggles with the “triggers” that renew his desire to flee from intimacy. He is learning to be open and has a growing appreciation for the value of being vulnerable in relationships.

Jeanne has inspired us with her growing trust in her husband, their marriage, and her continued commitment to growth. She makes a powerful contribution to their healing as a couple but must balance that with her personal path and healing work.

Jamie is really seeing progress. She has more to accomplish and is moving forward and taking full advantage of her five weeks with Dr. Chris. There is always so much to share and learn on Healing Your Life. Dr. Chris has a unique voice and complete clarity in regard to Spirit and the healing that is always available to us from our Source.
  • Original air date: Monday, November 25, 2013
    Episode Description:
Ross has been very honest and clear about what his pornography addiction has cost him and the ill effects he still seeks to heal. After years of hiding and lying, old patterns continue to emerge. Addiction replaced intimacy in his relationships. Now, Ross works to recover the intimacy required for a healthy and loving relationship with his wife.

Last week, Jeanne read us an entry from her personal journal. She eloquently described her feelings of betrayal and insecurity. When this behavior was exposed, she was no longer in the honest and open relationship she thought she was a part of. She married one man, but she ended up with another. Now, she is immersed in the recovery process. Although the addiction belonged to Ross, the recovery is a path for both partners.

Jamie had an important conversation with her mother about her feelings and upbringing. Dr. Chris gave her the tools to express herself without investing in her mother’s reaction. Jamie now believes she is responsible for the story she has lived with for so many years; the story of how she was not loved or wanted. That is a major breakthrough for Jamie!

It is time for Jamie to replace the old dialogue and lies with the truth. The truth is that she is a unique and wonderful woman who is surrounded by love. As an adult, Jamie can give herself the acceptance and appreciation she felt denied as a child.

Week three is the midpoint for our guests on Healing Your Life. It is usually our week of surprises. Don’t miss a single show with Ross, Jeanne, Jamie, and Dr. Chris!

Ross is recovering from a pornography addiction that he has endured for more than 50 years. He has made progress in healing the addiction, its side effects and the impact on his family. Jeanne, being married to Ross, has a different perspective on the recovery process and healing of her own to work through.

We also met Jamie, who is seeking direction and healing for her struggle with low self-esteem and feelings that have kept her from living her best life. She is unusual because she comes to the show knowing exactly where these feelings come from and why they exist. This dysfunction has been handed down through her family from mother to daughter. It is time to end the cycle, own her feelings, and express them through a crucial conversation with her mother. Jamie has a daughter of her own now and she is determined to save her from the behavior and language that made her feel like “less.”

He has been experiencing spiritual growth but feels it is time to set the bar even higher. He sees big changes in his future and wants to be ready to meet the challenges.

Ann is new to Healing Your Life but a longtime listener. She has been challenged to live life as she feels guided but to have the self-esteem necessary to overcome her feelings of inadequacy. She feels her voice has been silenced by negative opinions and judgments. She is looking for self-assurance and a clearer understanding of her worth and value.

Spirit seems to be pushing both of our guests to be more. It is always best to say "yes"!
