The affirmation for this lesson is, “We are unified in Christ and the overcoming love of the Holy Spirit is manifesting in us and through us.” Some key ideas he shared include: “… as you develop the Christ Mind in you and you begin to realize these natural abilities, you find yourself just tuning in … with this Infinite Mind. … How should you know about Truth; By inner thinking. By getting still; quickening in your soul, mind. … Christ is the IDEA; and the Holy Spirit is that Idea WORKING all through the mind of the people in thought.”

This week we explore Lesson 12 in the series “The Fourth Dimension and Its Uses by Man.” The 12th lesson is “The Supermind in Man Is Named Christ: How the Kingdom of Christ Is Destined to Encompass the Inhabitants of the Whole Earth.” It was given on Tuesday, December 06, 1932. Fillmore boldly states, “I don’t think there is any limit to the capacities of Spirit in me.” He also shares that Christ, Jehovah, and Supermind are all one. He states, “We have to get the full understanding in our minds and we have to apply these principles until you begin this process of thinking of yourself as the Christ of God.” The working affirmation from today’s lesson is: I have a living faith in the ruling power of the Christ Mind now manifesting in me and through me. The shortened version is: I have a living faith in the ruling power of the Christ Mind.

    Episode Description:

This week we explore lesson 11 in the series titled, “The Fourth Dimension and Its Uses by Man.” The 11th lesson is titled, “The Birth of a New Race of Men and Women Is Now in Progress; They Are to be the Future Rulers of the Earth.” It was given on Tuesday, November 29, 1932. This talk dwelled on the concept that as we take on the “Mind of Christ,” we are transformed into part of a new race of men and women.

Charles Fillmore shared, “We find in ourselves these fundamental—faculties—the Twelve Faculties—and each faculty with the capacity of involving and expressing all the other twelve. … So, in the regeneration of man … we shall evolve out of the material man the Twelve-Fold Man and that Twelve-Fold Man will rule through the understanding of the powers of his mind in handling the forces of the so-called material world and be another kind of man, a type man.” The affirmation given to the students is: The Word of Christ dwells richly in me and I am unified with all persona of like mind.

This week we explore lesson 10 in the series “The Fourth Dimension and Its Uses by Man.” The 10th lesson is “How Man’s Thought Breaks Into the Pent-Up Life Energies of Soul and Body, Releases the Electrons, and Makes Substance Manifest.” It was given on Tuesday, November 2, 1932. Some key ideas expressed in the talk were thoughts around how we are all solar-powered in that we store up energy from the sun and that we release that power to energize our bodies. Another really cool key idea is “…everything about us, all power, all the universe, every substance can be reduce to ideas, and that man is idea. He is an aggregation of ideas.” The affirmation for this lesson: The oil of life is released in my body and the Light of Understanding is being manifest in my soul.

This week we explore the entirety of lesson eight in the series “The Fourth Dimension and Its Uses by Man.” The eighth lesson is “By Eliminating Sense Mind, and Its Accompanying Time Element, the Atoms and Cells of the Body are Renewed and All Signs of Age Disappear.” It was given on Tuesday, November 8, 1932. The focus of the lesson is best summed with Fillmore’s own words, “We have got to practice with a-b-c’s, which is a letting go, breaking up, in our minds of this idea of the reality of the substance of life, time, space, and all these things have entered into the material world and clamped down on us and hold us in bondage. We want all to join in the denial of time and space, and the joyous affirmation of new life in Christ, in the Kingdom of God within us. Here is the word [affirmation]: I am free from the limitations of time and spaceI am the joyous expression of the new life in/Christ.

This week we begin lesson nine in the series "The Fourth Dimension and Its Uses by Man." The ninth lesson is "The Currents of Thought in the Race Mind Manipulate the Invisible Substance, and Make for Lack or for Prosperity, at the Option of the Thinkers." It was given on Tuesday, November 15, 1932. The title of the talk states the subject matter the most clearly. Here are a couple interesting quotes: "We have in our minds separated the Invisible from the Visible and through the power of thought, we have created separation. As you think, so you become." … "That the Visible and Invisible are but two halves of one whole and that One Whole is all of my consciousness."

    Episode Description:

On today's program we continued with the series of Charles Fillmore lessons titled, "The Fourth Dimension and Its Uses by Man." We completed the last part of lesson six ("'The Kingdom of the Heavens' of Jesus") and explored a large part of lesson seven titled, "The Stratosphere Is Not Thousands of Miles Above the Earth, but Within the Latent Ability of the Mind of Man." It was given on Tuesday, November 1, 1932. At the end of the sixth lesson Fillmore recommended that the following affirmation be held for a week: The royal majesty, mastery and dominion of God is enthroned in me and I wisely make manifest the life and substance of the luminiferious ether, the Kingdom of God. In lesson seven he talks quite a bit about "current science" and acknowledges some of the issue with the concept of the ethers. He also states, "Modern science and metaphysics are dealing with the same factors and would eventually come together and this so-called material universe is not material at all, but it is spiritual—and modern science is proving it."

Today we delved into the sixth lesson of the series of Charles Fillmore classes titled, "The Fourth Dimension and Its Uses by Man." Lesson Six is called "Identity of the Fourth Dimension of Science, and 'The Kingdom of the Heavens' of Jesus." In this lesson, Fillmore shares, "He [Jesus Christ] taught this Kingdom was here all the time waiting the recognition of Man. He taught in other words, what Science teaches, that we are using in every possible way, this Inner Spiritual Realm." Fillmore instructs, "Man needs to know how to work in the ether with the dominion and power given to him in the beginning, … ."

    Episode Description:

On today's program we are completing the fifth lesson in the Charles Fillmore class series titled, "The Fourth Dimension and Its Uses by Man." It is titled, "How Mind and Body Manufacture Violet Healing Rays," and was given on Tuesday, October 18, 1932. Fillmore makes this interesting point in regards to healing: "Don’t have yourself thinking about glands or brain cells, but think about the idea of Power." Jesus gave us our Key Word again. He said, "All Power is given unto me in heaven and on earth." Applied personally, where is heaven? In mind. Where is earth? In the body. "All power is given unto me in ‘mind’ and body." Fillmore instructs his students to hold that affirmation and this one: "Say to your own body, 'I come that you might have life, and more abundant life.'"

    Episode Description:

This week we reviewed the fifth lesson in the Charles Fillmore class series titled, "The Fourth Dimension and Its Uses by Man." It is titled, "How Mind and Body Manufacture Violet Healing Rays," and was given on Tuesday, October 18, 1932. This lesson describes a lot of things that are no longer believed to be true. Their historic value is obvious since we witness how Charles Fillmore attempted to connect the "science of his day" to metaphysical principles. Fillmore makes some interesting points along the way: "… the subject of all our lessons here is Healing." He also states, "Now there is but one primal substance and life, intelligence, and power in the Universe and that is the Creative Light; God is back of the Light."

Today we complete the review of the fourth class in the Charles Fillmore class series titled "The Fourth Dimension and Its Uses by Man." It is titled "Was the First Manifestation of the Human Race in the Ether or on the Earth?" The short answer is the first manifestation of the human race was in the Ether. Charles Fillmore also shares about our True Reality and a fall in consciousness: "We all had that glory with our Father God. But in looking away from the Invisible, Omnipresent, Divine Intelligence, we have dropped down, and we have in consequence what is called 'the Fallen Man.'"

    Episode Description:

This week we completed reviewing the third class in the Fillmore Class series titled, "The Fourth Dimension and Its Uses by Man." It is titled "The Finer Forces of Mind and Body Identified as the Garden of Eden: Elemental Substance and Life." Then we launched into the fourth lesson, "Was the First Manifestation of the Human Race in the Ether or on the Earth?" A key idea from the third lesson is this: "beholding in our minds good in everything, everything is, really, at its source, good." This means that no matter if the appearance is good, bad, or ugly, it is the originating IDEA that is good because it is of God. It is humankind that determines how the IDEA is used. In part of the fourth lesson we reviewed, a key idea is that the "IDEA of Man" (the Christ Idea) is perfect and that we have to prove our own perfection. Fillmore says, "… we must live in the consciousness of the Perfect Man (the Christ Idea), and not the natural man, and the unfoldment of the Perfect Man will proceed in divine order."

This week we will continue the third lesson, "The Finer Forces of Mind and Body Identified as the Garden of Eden: Elemental Substance and Life" of the Charles Fillmore class series titled "The Fourth Dimension and Its Uses by Man." In this talk, Fillmore states that "the central idea for this lesson is 'Understanding-wisdom-discrimination-judgment.'" Here is one key idea: "This universal Substance is pictured in the Mind of God, as Jehovah, because Jehovah God is the second presentation of the creative Mind which it breathed into the dust of the ground and man came forth. There you see the process. You have Mind and Its idea and then that is made manifest."

    Episode Description:

This week we completed reviewing the second lesson in the 13-lesson series titled, "The Fourth Dimension and Its Uses by Man." This second lesson is titled, "How Man, by Super-Mind Thinking, Can Control and Use the Luminiferous Ether of Space." From this lesson, we learned "the thought of man is the directive power not only of his mind, but of all the universe all about him.  … we are the avenues through which this essence [God] is made manifest." Through glimpses of the luminiferous ethers in our minds, we can express it in any function of the organism in strength. We then just started reviewing the third lesson, "The Finer Forces of Mind and Body Identified as the Garden of Eden: Elemental Substance and Life," delivered on Tuesday, October 4, 1932. Charles Fillmore shares, "In this course of lessons, we are seeking to explain man's fundamental spiritual being and his relation to the manifest world; especially that manifestation that takes place in his immediate neighborhood, which is his own mind and body." Further, Fillmore states that "the central idea for this lesson is 'Understanding-wisdom-discrimination-judgment.'"

This talk focuses on the importance of the luminiferous ether, what it is and how we use it. It is in this lesson we get our first glimpse that this series of lessons is based on the Twelve Powers of Man. Charles Fillmore states, "The lesson today is essentially the use of this function in strength." The first lesson was on the use of luminiferous ether in faith.

Today  we are starting an intensive series of programs based on the actual transcripts of a 13-week lecture series titled “The Fourth Dimension and Its Uses by Man.” It was given by Charles Fillmore and his secretary, Miss Cora Dedrick, in 1932.  The first class is titled “How to Use Spiritually to Quicken Man’s Super-Mind Faculties and Use Them in Character-Building.” The affirmation for the month is, “God’s understanding quickens and increases my understanding and I know the truth.” The primary focus of the talk centers around the what and where of the Kingdom of Heaven. Charles Fillmore states, “And the Scriptures plainly teach we must have an unfoldment of the mind of Christ. … What we need is to grasp these truths for ourselves in order to use them.”

Today’s talk was delivered by Charles Fillmore on Sunday, December 30, 1928, and is titled, "The Christian Life Is a Life of Praise." In this talk, Fillmore states that the problem is, “… we spend a good deal of time praising our thougnts.” Then he says  “ … we are teaching here at Unity: how to lay hold of the laws of the mind, spiritually interpreted; how to raise our minds to higher planes of consciousness and establish them so that they become receptive to the Higher Mind. … Paul gives us the key to the accomplishment of this ….”
  • Episode: Thought

Today’s talk was delivered by Charles Fillmore on October 22, 1924. It carries the handwritten title of “Thought.” At the beginning, Fillmore states, "If you are thinking good, strong, powerful thoughts and thinking about what you are doing, you send out a strong vibration. The wave length is according to your intelligence. It goes out as a white light; but if you are thinking ignorant, careless thoughts, they go out as a slow vibration." Near the end of the talk Fillmore says, "Say with your very soul: 'I am quickened with life, Love fills my soul. I’m awake in the light—Christ makes me whole.'"

    Episode Description:

This week’s talk was given by Charles Fillmore on Wednesday, October 29, 1924, to Unity employees. It was most likely the true last talk in the 12-week series given in the fall of 1924, although it is not filed that way. In this talk, he also talks about the Power of Life. His chief focus is upon the harmonizing Power of Love. Love is the power or ability to harmonize. He ended this interesting talk with the following: “Love is the greatest thing in my work and through love I give peace, spiritual harmony, to everything I do. I express love. I speak only words of love. I think only words of love, I think only thoughts of love, I see only love everywhere. I am radiant love. Amen.”

In The Revealing Word, we explored from “Holy Spirt, sin against” through and including “hypocrite.” Next week, we move into the letter “I.”

In this talk, Fillmore emphasizes the importance of not judging by appearances. Fillmore states, "You are passing judgment on all things. You are judging other people, conditions, yourselves. When you awaken the Christ mind there is no longer any judgment, you will not condemn nor pass judgment on even yourselves."

This talk was delivered by Charles Fillmore on October 15, 1924, and is about the Powers of Will and Understanding. He emphasizes the importance of these Powers—developing them and working them together. He focuses on the concept of “Not my will but Thine be done!” In referring to the Divine Will, Charles Fillmore states, “WE know there is a great universal will and the success of our will puts us in line with that will. Fillmore asserts that “… the New Testament is a manual for one who is in the regeneration, who is following along these lines, overcoming sense consciousness, raising it to spiritual consciousness.” He goes on to say how it is done.

In The Revealing Word, we explored from “Holy Spirit, sin against” through and including the first paragraph of “I Am.”

    Episode Description:

This week we explored the seventh employee talk in a series of 12. (Lesson 6 is one of two missing talks.) Today’s talk delivered by Charles Fillmore on Wednesday, September 17, 1924, is titled “Praise and Prayer.” After an introductory piece on the Lord’s Prayer being a prayer of affirmations, Fillmore gets into the meat of the talk. The lesson is partially about how we get what we want. The most profound thing Fillmore says is, “How shall you get this larger consciousness you aspire to? By praising yourself. … Some persons think this would enlarge the ego. Well, it might if you praised the personality but if you praise yourself spiritual you enlarge your [awareness] of your spiritual Self and the little ego of personality grows less and less, disappears entirely, and you find yourself one with the universal Spirit.”

This week we also explored the terms “healing and will power” to “hearing” in The Revealing Word.

This week we explored the fifth employee talk in a series of 12 of which we have 10. Today’s talk, delivered by Charles Fillmore on Wednesday, September 10, 1924, is titled, “Denials and Affirmations.” In this talk he shares how to use denials and affirmations to control our thoughts. Fillmore states, "The power within can control every thought in your mind, the power of thought. We do it just as we do in the outer. We say yes [affirmations] and no [denials]. … It is natural for you to control your thoughts. You are constantly doing it. You can’t make a move in your mind or body without thought activity."

This week we also explore the terms “harmony, divine, how lost” to “healing absent” in The Revealing Word.

    Episode Description:

This week we explored the fourth employee talk in a series of 12 of which we have 10. Today’s talk, delivered by Charles Fillmore on Wednesday, September 3, 1924, is titled, “Thoughts.” In this talk he shares about the universal law, and that law is the law of mind. Fillmore shares, “As you think, so you will be. The thought is the foundation of everything that is made manifest. … You can produce results in your world that you thought were beyond your reach just through the simple use of thought.”

This week we also explored the terms “greatest in God’s kingdom” through “harmony, divine” in The Revealing Word.

  • Episode: Man
Original air date: Tuesday, September 04, 2012
    Episode Description:

This week we explored the third employee talk in a series of 12 of which we have 10. Today’s talk, delivered by Charles Fillmore on Wednesday, August 27, 1924, is titled, “Man.” This talk shares about Spiritual Man, or the I Am. Fillmore makes some great points in this talk. In it he once again emphasizes his view of the material world and God: “God did not plan this material world. Man plans the material world. God plans the man.” It is important to emphasize this man is not the body or personality. “Christ is the man, the image and likeness of the infinite mind which over shines every one of us.” Finally, he once again makes the point that we use the Divine and infers the Divine does not use us when he states, “… and then if you can conceive that all that Mind is right at hand for your use, all ideas in the Divine Mind can be grasped and used by you.”

This week we also explored the terms “Grace” through “Gravitation” in The Revealing Word.

    Episode Description:

This week we explore the second employee talk in a series. Today’s talk, delivered by Charles Fillmore on Wednesday, August 20, 1924, is entitled, “Science of Being.” Fillmore shares about Jesus, Jesus Christ, Christ and Christ Jesus. He shares that Christ is a spiritual man and emphatically states, “You see this doesn’t refer to a man.” I get on my soapbox a bit about Charles’ use of language, lack of precision and consistency. However, in this talk, he makes his main idea clear. It is simply this: Christ is the perfect Idea of your Spiritual Beingness!

This week we also explored the terms “God, will of” through “gospel” in The Revealing Word.

    Episode Description:

This week we look at a talk given to employees by Charles Fillmore on Wednesday, August 12, 1924. As near as we can determine, this is the first of a 12-week series. We have found the first five. This talk focuses on the inner world of our own consciousness. Fillmore says something very profound: “So, I say, we really are seeking to conquer the world and that world is a world made up of our own consciousness. We are told that we do not know anything outside of our consciousness, and we never shall know anything outside of our own consciousness.”

In The Revealing Word, we managed to just begin the entry “God, will of.”

  • Episode: An Awakening
Original air date: Tuesday, August 14, 2012
    Episode Description:

This week Charles Fillmore’s talk is entitled “An Awakening” and was delievered on March 5, 1933. It is unusual in that Fillmore speaks a bit about Roosevelt’s inauguration. The focus is on awakening love. Fillmore states, “We must love life. We must love the life activity in our bodies and in the bodies of all persons. We must love the activity of life everywhere. We must love life in its mechanical energy, because life is essential.” This is all shared in the context of Jesus raising the daughter of the ruler of the synagogue from the dead.

In The Revealing Word, we explored “God transcendent” and got a little into "God, will of.”

    Episode Description:

This week’s Charles Fillmore talk was a Wednesday lesson probably delivered to employees on October 29, 1924. It carried the handwritten title of “Love.” Fillmore begins by saying, “Our lesson this morning is the realization of the harmonizing, vitalizing power in man. That power is called love.” Fillmore shares, “the spirit of love draws to me that which belongs to me. The greatest of all the faculties of the mind is love, that is, the most powerful.” You will find that I tweak and somewhat disagree with some of what Charles Fillmore shares.

In The Revealing Word, we explored from “God, responsibility to” to “God said.”

    Episode Description:

This week we explore a talk given by Charles Fillmore on March 16, 1913. It is entitled "The Test of Abraham’s Faith." It is essentially a metaphysical look at the story of Abraham being called to sacrifice his son, Isaac. Some interesting quotes from the talk include: "Mind; Ideas; Manifestations. This generalizes every movement of man, in all his acts. … Now, this law is operative everywhere." "The meaning of sacrifice is that you shall relinquish, or let go of some limited idea, and for the purpose of making way for a larger idea." He also shares about the Powers of Imagination and Faith. At one point, Fillmore declares the reason for us not demonstrating what is in our mind, "Because you have gone beyond the conviction of your faith."

In The Revealing Word, we explored from "God, manifest" to "God, reconciliation with."

    Episode Description:

This week’s talk by Charles Fillmore was given on August 9, 1931, and is entitled “The Unfolding of the Higher Self.” It is based on the conversion of Saul on the way to Damascus. Fillmore states, “We look upon this experience of Paul’s as a step in man’s [humankind’s] evolution. The development in man [humankind] of that higher principle which is latent in every man and woman. … Jesus was an example of the practical unfoldment of a universal principle … Every one of us has this God Principle.” Finally, Charles Fillmore shares, “Jesus Christ is the great Head, showing us the way to the unfoldment of this spiritual principle.”

In The Revealing Word we reviewed from “God, centered in” to and including “God-man.”

This week’s  talk was given by Charles Fillmore while on his honeymoon trip with Cora to California on Sunday, April 29, 1934. Charles Fillmore was 80 years old! The talk is entitled “The Fourth Dimension.” It is a talk given in four lessons:

    1) “How spiritual to man’s [humankind’s] supermind faculties and use them in character building.”

    2) “The finer forces of mind and body identified as the Garden of Eden; elemental substance and life.”

    3) “How man [humankind], by supermind thinking, can control and use the luminiferous ether of space.”

    4) “The currents of thought in the race mind [collective consciousness] manipulate the invisible substance, and make for lack or for prosperity, at the option of the thinkers.”

In The Revealing Word, we reviewed from “God as Spirit” through and including, “God as Truth.”

This week’s broadcast focused on a talk given by Charles Fillmore on Sunday, July 11, 1937. The title is “Helps Toward Freedom.” This talk expresses common themes: “the inner logic of this reveals that Real ‘Me’ of every one of us is a spark of divinity, … life is what you make, … the divine law through which we are released form our attachments to the material side of life.” Its focus is upon Moses representing the law that provides freedom from the darkenss, the Egypt, the sense consciousness in humankind. Fillmore shares that we all begin our work in personal consciousness, which is the ego or personality. Ultimately, we must all be “obedient” to Divine Mind.

This week we explored “God as Spirit” in The Revealing Word.

This week we explore a radio talk given by Charles Fillmore on October 14, 1923. The talk starts and ends on the interpretation of the Bible. In the middle, it becomes a bit of a treatise on Jehovah/I Am and Power. Fillmore clearly defines how we use Scripture and what metaphysical Bible interpretation is all about. For Fillmore, the solution to rampaging monkey mind thoughts is speaking the word with power. Here is a great affirmation and denial from the talk: “I am Spiritual Power and there is no opposition to my word.”

This week we explore a talk probably given to employees on November 11, 1924. In this talk, Charles Fillmore explored the Silence as “the very foundation of the spiritual quality that we all are seeking.” Clearly, Fillmore’s definition of the Silence included some present time awareness, whereas today, I like to separate present time spiritual awareness from the actual Silence. Fillmore also shared, “There is a great substantial, eternal life right here present, open to every one of us and the object of our existence is to make contact with that life.” Fillmore touches briefly on communion as well.

During the final segment, we explored from “God as lawgiver” and “God as principle." Once again the challenge of anthropomorphic language shows up in these definitions.

    Episode Description:

This week’s talk was a Wednesday lesson given by Charles Fillmore on January 14, 1925. It carries the handwritten title, “Wee Wisdom for Children Effect.” A more appropriate title might be “The Law of Mind Action.” In it, Fillmore emphasizes the Law of Mind Action, speaks a bit about clairvoyance, as well as differences between the intellectual mind and the Spiritual Mind. Fillmore states, “We find that he [Jesus Christ] had two very definite phases of mind activity: one is the natural, intellectual mind that never gets into the ideals of the absolute. The other is the spiritual mind or that discerning mind that knows the truth about things and goes to the very gist of the subject.”

In our review of the entries in The Revealing Word, we review from “God as health” to “God as law.”

    Episode Description:

This week we explore a Wednesday evening talk given by Charles Fillmore on August 13, 1924. Its handwritten title is “Conquer.” In the words of Charles Fillmore, this talk focuses on, “So, I say we really are all seeking to conquer the world and that world is a world made up of our own consciousness.” It is a talk that focuses on the Power of Power/Dominion. Fillmore states, “We should have dominion over our own thoughts, over impulses, the activities of mind, soul body.” Fillmore shares how to change the world by changing our minds because “your world is what you make.”

In The Revealing Word, we continued with the fourth paragraph of the entry on “God.” In these two short paragraphs, the emphasis seems to shift back and forth between an external God and an internal Divinity. We conclude with “God as health.”

  • Episode: Holy Communion
Original air date: Tuesday, May 08, 2012
    Episode Description:
This week we explore a Wednesday evening talk given by Charles Fillmore on February 20, 1924. It is entitled “Holy Communion.” The talk focuses on the traditional view of Holy Communion as well as the Unity view. Quite surprisingly, Fillmore states, "So you can see the Catholic Church is in a measure right.”  He also says, “You take it [the Life of Christ] in on faith, and there is the preparation of your understanding. You understand what substance is and how it works. There is only one substance. Our bodies are all made from one substance, and when we get into that substance we are all members of the body of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the more we think about that the more we come into that and that is the Holy Communion.”

In The Revealing Word, we start over again with the entry on “God.” We explore the first  three paragraphs. The emphasis in this sharing is noticing how the definition of God bounces back and forth from an anthropomorphic God to “God is not person but Principle.”

This week we review a talk given by Charles Fillmore on December 5, 1932, entitled, “Learning to Unify Mixed Impulses.”  In Charles’ own words the talk is basically about this: “We have this mixed state of mind, and it is deluding every one of us into believing that certain things are true that are not true: and it is our duty and it our great and everlasting work to bring up within us and baptize our souls with this ever-living water of Spirit, this well of living water within.”

In the last segment we began our exploration of the term “God” in The Revealing Word.

    Episode Description:
This week’s Charles Fillmore talk was delivered on January  13, 1924, and is entitled “The Work of Spiritual Ideas in Sense Consciousness." It is based on Genesis 47:1-12 in which Joseph’s family is permitted to come to the land of Goshen by Pharoah. The key concepts is that we must allow our higher spiritual consciousness to enter into sense consciousness without becoming a part of it so that sense consciousness may be redeemed, regenerated and brought to a higher plane. Fillmore stated at the end of the talk, “Let us remember this lesson and apply it definitely today in restoring our bodies to spiritual consciousness, bringing them out of mere material sensation into spiritual activity through the power of the Lord Jesus Christ, our great brother, our great pioneer in these mighty realms of Spirit and matter, because Spirit and matter are unified in the one who understands the divine law.”

In the final segment, we turned our attention to The Revealing Word where we explored from “generic” to “God.”

    Episode Description:
This week we explore a talk given by Charles Fillmore on “The Authority of the Divine Feminine Restored." It was delivered on January 16, 1916. Fillmore focuses on the Divine Feminine in two ways. First, this is a talk directed at men to listen to their wives and the importance of man having a woman in his life to have access to her intuitive knowing. Second, he shares that each of us have the Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine in consciousness and so, metaphysically and metaphorically we must be using both aspects to produce a good life. He states there is a law: “The Law is that the feminine quality shall go into every affair of life. It is necessary.” Fillmore also speculates that Jesus had a wife and it was Mary the sister of Martha. He says, “We cannot escape the conclusion that Jesus Christ himself had a wife.”

In The Revealing Word, we explored from “gate, narrow” to generation.

This week we review a talk given by Charles Fillmore on July 28, 1921. The title is “Faith: Preamble to the Christian Business Man’s Constitution." It includes a reading of the preamble and affirmation statement. Both formed the basis for the way in which Unity conducted the business side of its ministry. This model would serve today’s business world. Fillmore says, “So you must make up your mind that you must give value received for value given. You must render a value for the good that you get from this omnipresent life, substance, intelligence and power. And in our work we start fundamentally with that proposition that all things are here, waiting for us to appropriate them, to enter into ths great storehouse of the Infinite Mind and take whatsoever we need.” Notice Fillmore says TAKE whatsoever we need and not ask. This is because Infinite Mind is made up of Divine Ideas and we must take and appropriate them in order to use them. Fillmore also emphasizes the importance of being in loving service.

Original air date: Tuesday, March 13, 2012
    Episode Description:
This week’s talk, "Forgiveness," was delivered by Charles Fillmore on October 29, 1924. It begins with a short explanation and example of “that something that jumps up inside” and seems to give us ideas. Fillmore calls this “the higher self.” He says, “It makes a difference how you identify this voice that talks to you … I have found that for those people who give it the name of the Lord it can’t be wrong. It is Spirit.” Fillmore shares: “In all your experiences see it spiritually and think about it spiritually. The forgiveness part is about forgiving ourselves our ignorance for it is just ignorance that makes us think such things as evil and ignorant states of consciousness.” He says our first prayer should be “Forgive me my ignorance.” He also says we should forgive ourselves for our thoughts of limitation.

This week’s talk, “Helps Toward Freedom,” was given by Charles Fillmore on July 11, 1937. It focuses on the story of Moses as found in the third chapter of Exodus. During the program I amp up Charles Fillmore’s affirmation to: I exert myself so that the Christ I already am expresses fully. The talk ended with this: “You will find that in this inner spiritual silence you will develop an assurance and with it a power of the Spirit that you had no idea you possessed … and raise you up higher and higher in consciousness until you enter into the kingdom of the heavens here and now.”

This week’s talk given by Charles Fillmore was entitled “Review: Prophetic Vision Active.” It was given on Sunday, December 18, 1927.  Fillmore offers a perspective that both adds to metaphysical insight and complements our cultural/ historical study of the Bible. Fillmore suggests the prophets should be divided into the demonstrating and discerning prophets. Fillmore states that “religion is progressive, … But I can’t help but think that religion is evolutionary; that we evolve in spiritual understanding.“

In The Revealing Word we explored from “food” to “free will.”  Fillmore states, “… true forgiveness is only established through renewing the mind and body with thoughts and words of Truth.”
  • Episode: Transmutation
Original air date: Tuesday, February 21, 2012
    Episode Description:
This week’s talk given by Charles Fillmore was titled “Transmutation.” We do not know when it was given. It focuses on regeneration and the Twelve Powers, especially the Power of Power or Dominion. It is a metaphysical interpretation of Jesus’ first miracle at the Wedding of Cana. In it Fillmore refers to three steps in the action of the mind: First, the consciousness of an idea; second, working out the idea in consciousness, and then the third is the one of execution, setting forth, making manifest in the outer. Toward the end, Fillmore metaphysically interprets the elements of communion, wine and bread.

In The Revealing Word, we reviewed from “feet” to “flocks.”

    Episode Description:
This week’s talk was delivered by Charles Fillmore on Sunday, September 3, 1933, and is titled, "Love Leads to Power." Fillmore differentiates among the fleshly love (the love of sensation), human love (love of family—father, mother, sister, brother, sweetheart) and spiritual love. The first two are essentially selfish, while spiritual love "forgets self in its desire to help others." Other interesting points Charles Fillmore makes include, "Man does give character to this universal either by his thought, and it is our thought that is the great transformer of our minds." He also shared that, “Our greatest need is to understand the law of thought, especially thought turned to love." Finally, at the end of the talk, Fillmore strongly emphasizes the importance of women and their love of peace that is helping to transform the world. "When the women of the land rise up in their might and demand the reign of love and peace in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, it will come to pass overnight."

This week’s talk was one given to employees. It was delivered by Charles Fillmore on August 4, 1925, and is titled, "Getting Into the Work of Spirit.” It begins with an explanation of prayer and then concentrates on statement: “In my love toward God, am I fulfilling that first Commandment: ‘Thou shalt love the Lord they God with all they heart, and with all they soul, and with all they mind.'” It is then amped up to today’s language. Charles also talks about first receiving in mind and then receiving in some visible manifestation. In the second part of the talk, Fillmore shares about the importance of the Unity work to the world. Charles emphasizes: “The greatest work of men is to teach the world of morality based on spiritual understanding, but you will never be a good teacher until you begin to teach yourself, unfold the great powers within yourself.”

Fillmore concluded with this: "You have the power within yourself. ... Realize this and erase, through absolute denial, from your mind all that would seem to oppose it in the material, in the surroundings, [and] in the thoughts of your mind. Wipe it all away, and come rejoicing, giving thanks to the great I AM for your spiritual sight, for your understanding."

This week's talk, shared by Charles Fillmore on October 18, 1931, was entitled, "The Aggressive Christian." It focuses on the need to get rid of the old ideas that are holding in consciousness. Fillmore shares, "We have to break up the old to get into the new." He also stresses the importance to "see ourselves as Divine instead of human." Finally, Charles Fillmore makes a very important point about his view of Jesus Christ: "And, by being loyal to Jesus Christ as the Great Demonstrator and this Prince, this Holy One of God in ourselves, we develop it, we bring it forth; and although everything seems for a time to be turned upside down, good comes of it."

This week’s lesson is entitled “Bringing Good out of Evil” and was given by Charles Fillmore on July 26, 1931. Fillmore shares his view about good and evil. He states, “Any argument to the effect that evil is necessary to the bringing forth of good is of no effect at all. It is futile.” I share that we can use “evil” to bring forth good and blessings, if we so choose. Fillmore states, “The actor … determines whether the action, whether the energy, whether the life is to be good or not good." He also speaks to religious persecution and ends with an interesting support of the system in Russia during his time. In The Revealing Word we reviewed from “faculty, spiritual” to “ faith cure.” Next week we begin with the term “faith, how cultivated.”

    Episode Description:
This week’s lesson is entitled, “The Distinguishing Trait of the Christ Mind,” and was given by Charles Fillmore on March 26, 1933. It is a review lesson that followed a series of 12. Fillmore starts out by saying there are several traits and alludes to the Twelve Powers. In the talk he distinguishes several types of Truth, from the Truth of Being to the Truth of the Sign. He states, “We must not only get an understanding of Truth, but we must demonstrate it.” He also touches on the meaning of prosperity. He also shares about Satan. Most interestingly, Fillmore stated, “Satan is that phase of thought in the human mind that forms personality. Satan is not essentially evil, but if allowed dominion in man’s consciousness, separates him from his spiritual source, God Mind."

In The Revealing Word, we reviewed from “evil” to “eyes, blind.” Next week we begin with the terms in letter F.

  • Original air date: Tuesday, December 20, 2011
    Episode Description:

This week’s lesson is entitled “Christmas," and was given by Charles Fillmore on December 19, 1923. Fillmore reflects on his view of how Christmas came about, connecting it to the various celebrations of what he called "barbarians." In the talk he shares about what the angels said: “Glory to God in the highest, peace on earth, goodwill to men.” Fillmore takes a literal view and I give it a metaphysical twist. Toward the end, Fillmore explains what holy communion is, defining the bread as Substance and the wine as Life.

In The Revealing Word, we simply explore the term “evil.” This rich explanation of evil pulls in some of Charles Fillmore’s basic underlying beliefs. Most importantly, Fillmore states, “He [man = men and women] can do away with evil by learning rightly to use the one Power. If there were a power of evil, it could not be changed.”

This week we explore a Charles Fillmore talk, entitled "Spiritual Identity," which was delivered on March 14, 1926. Fillmore shares a great deal about the ethers and the rays. He also references the Twelve Powers when he says, “We study the Scriptures in order that we may develop the great resources in our soul, but as directive and showing everyone of us where and how and through which we may come into a better understanding of those innate powers which exist in every soul." He concludes with this: “In your meditations, prayers, try to lay hold of the great invisible I AM. I Am the way. I Am the Truth, and I Am the life, in spiritual consciousness.”

In the third and final segment, we explore the entries in The Revealing Word, beginning with “Eden, Garden of” and ending with "ether.“

This week we return to exploring a very early Twelve Powers talk given on April 10, 1910, entitled “The Faculties of Mind.” Even though we started this on November 15, we start from the beginning today. Fillmore shares about the purpose of the Powers, how they are paired up and why. He also shares how the disciples represent “the history of the development of a higher consciousness in man.”  Two key ideas that Fillmore shared: 1) “So each of these faculties are often possessed of adverse thought.” 2) “All these faculties have to be educated and instructed.” We wrap up with The Revealing Word, beginning with “Eden, Garden of” and going to “egotism.”
  • Episode: Thanks-Giving

    Episode Description:

This week we explored a Charles Fillmore talk entitled, "Thanksgiving." It was given on Sunday, November 29, 1925. While the lesson does not relate well to the Scripture, this is a very good talk on the importance of giving. Fillmore shares, “If we give in the right attitude, we always receive. … We might begin in our giving by accompanying it with a cheerful, glad thought; begin with gladness.”

We wrap up with The Revealing Word, beginning with “doubt” and ending with the term “ecclesia.”

This week we finish exploring a talk given by Charles Fillmore October 5, 1926, “Denials and Affirmations.” Fillmore focuses on denials and their importance in the process of letting go, releasing our grip on things and thoughts. All of this is for affirming and claiming the Truth so we put on this “new man of Christ.”

Next we explore a very early Twelve Powers talk given on April 10, 1910, titled “The Faculties of Mind.” Fillmore shares about the purpose of the Powers, how they are paired up and why. He also shares how the disciples represent “the history of the development of a higher consciousness in man.”

  • Original air date: Tuesday, November 08, 2011
    Episode Description:
This week we finished exploring a talk given by Charles Fillmore on April 2, 1931, entitled "Weakness Changed to Power." A key idea from this talk is, “Everything that we do, everything that we think, everything that we work, everything that we say, represents some idea in the One Mind, the Source of all ideas.” Fillmore also shares: “There are two baptisms always: one of denial and the other of affirmation.”

Then we explored another talk entitled "Denials and Affirmations," given by Charles Fillmore on October 5, 1926. This very clear talk is full of great ideas. One being, “It means this denial just lets go. It unclasps, it’s clinching fear and releasing, dissipates and is lost in the great universal … Relax your idea in your mind. That’s denial.”

We will complete this talk during the next program.
  • Episode: Power
Original air date: Tuesday, November 01, 2011
    Episode Description:
This week we explore a talk given by Charles Fillmore entitled "Power," given on April 17, 1910. Fillmore emphasizes that we all are and have Power. Fillmore said, “If Jesus Christ taught and demonstrated the power, that there must be, somewhere in man, an undeveloped set of faculties.” Fillmore also shared about obedience. It is not like obedience to a person or authority. It is more like we get the results we want when we are obedient to the laws of electricity or gravity.

We also reviewed a Charles Fillmore talk given on April 2, 1931, entitled "Weakness Changed to Power." A key idea from this talk is, “Everything that we do, everything that we think, everything that we work, everything that we say, represents some idea in the One Mind, the Source of all ideas.”

It focuses on the Power of the Word and how this teaching goes way back to ancient Hebrew customs and perhaps back to the Egyptians and maybe even Atlantis. Fillmore explores how these ancient people bound strips of cloth to their bodies with words written on them. One interesting point he makes is this, “Now, there is no distinction between the Jehovah consciousness of the Hebrews and the Christ Consciousness of the Christians; they are identical.” We will then wrap it up with a few words from The Revealing Word, beginning with “disciple” and ending with “discrimination.”

Some key ideas presented in it were “every attainment is preceded by a desire,” the concept that the I AM can swing inward to the Oneness or outward to form, and that humankind is responsible for the good and the bad. It is where we place our focus that matters. We must eliminate error words, thoughts and consciousness and affirm Truth. It is about how, when we grow spiritually, we get a kind of anointing of Spirit—a realization of a higher Truth. Then we begin living from that higher level. We’ll also discuss a couple of good examples of Metaphysical Bible interpretation.

In The Revealing Word, we’ll begin with the D's, starting with the first entry, “dainties, king’s” and continuing through “days, three.” This will be a rich sharing and expansion of the terms found in The Revealing Word.

Our talk for this episode, “The Overcoming of Fear,” was given by Charles Fillmore on September 26, 1923. In Charles’ own words, “Consequently we are really talking about nothing when we talk about fear. At the same time we have to consider nothing sometimes. If we have believed in nothing, and if you believe in nothing, you have to deal with nothing, don’t you see? The overcoming of fear begins with understanding God, continues with affirming Truth and using the law of mind [action] to shift our attention away from fear to God."

He talks a little bit about the Twelve Powers in this way: “We want this Christ in us and we want all the faculties.” So our focus is on the Power of Judgment or Wisdom. The location is at the pit of the stomach. He wraps up the talk by telling us, “You must use judgment, discrimination, in what you eat. You must use judgment in judging other people.” Fillmore also said this: "God laid down a law and we have to conform to that law. If we do not conform to it, we suffer the consequences, but there isn’t a law calling down the law upon us."

Then we launch into the ninth lesson that was first given on July 12, 1923, entitled, “Will and Understanding.” In it, he focuses upon this concept: “Your will is the determining factor in your consciousness. For example, he clearly states that we use God. Here he talks about cooperating with God. Listen and find out how all this is resolved. The largest focus is on three of the Twelve Powers—Faith, Love and Understanding. It turns out that the way he is using Understanding in this talk is really the Power of Judgment.
