Life is an inside job. There is heaven and hell potential for every moment of every day, and we have the creative power within us to choose the direction of our lives. Honoring the unique gift we each are to this world first means loving and accepting ourselves so we can extend that to others and live a life of fulfilled expression and freedom. Join us as we are uplifted and inspired with songs from various artists focusing on Giving the Gift of YOU!
With its cooler weather and trees changing color and shedding leaves, autumn more than any season reminds us of the changing nature of this relative realm of existence. This episode of our program explores the idea of change with music from Unity Online Radio favorites Eddie Watkins, Faith Rivera and Melissa Lewis, along with some brand-new songs from newcomers Susan Arbuckle and John Hegner!
Johannys is senior minister at Misión Unity in Hollywood, Florida, a church she pioneered. She has served as a licensed Unity teacher in English, directed choral groups for Unity churches, conducted prayer programs, been featured regularly at Unity Village's Spanish retreats as a singer and presenter, and is an ordained minister trained in A Course in Miracles. Johannys is blessed with a beautiful singing voice, and we are blessed to feature her music and her Spirit.
Jesus tells us in his Sermon on the Mount to “seek ye first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.” What does this mean? How do we do it? Find out in this episode of our program, as your host Dale Worley shares music and ideas that support the concept of putting God first in our lives.
James Dillet Freeman, Unity's poet laureate, penned the "Prayer for Protection" in 1941. The prayer was taken aboard Apollo 11 in July 1969 by lunar module pilot Buzz Aldrin, and it's used during Sunday services in almost every Unity center. Affirm this beautiful prayer through music as we listen to songs that support each line. If you are familiar with the prayer, experience it in a new way; if not, this is a fantastic introduction!
