“When you come to the edge of all that you know, you must believe one of two things: either there will be ground to stand on, or you will be given wings to fly.”—O.R. Melling
“On the Edge” is a moving episode of The Call of Spirit where Evelyn speaks with eight of her classmates, seniors from the Unity Institute and Seminary Class of 2015, about the life of spiritual immersion.
These soon-to-be fully ordained Unity ministers speak from their hearts about the process of completing their sojourn in seminary as part of their life calling. In this amazing hero’s journey, they share about life with one another, their inspiration, and the process of discovering the Truth of their being.
In alphabetical order, our guests and soon-to-be fully ordained Unity ministers are: Elise Cowan, John Beerman, Doug Duerr, Jeffrey Fowler, Judy Pilat, Anne Tabor, Lonnie Vanderslice, and Shawn Berry Wegner.
Evelyn talks with Marie-Rose (“MR”) Phan-Lê, award-winning documentary filmmaker, author, and storyteller. In joyful dialogue, they do what Hawaiian’s call “talk story” and share the journey of MR’s path in discovering her work in the world. MR and Evelyn talk about the collective human journey—the loss of spiritual legacy in the modern world and how to regain spiritual identity. Through connection and a practice of ancient wisdom in modern life, we just may be able to resurrect that which is our collective birthright—the understanding that nothing is separate and everything is connected.
Her most recent book, Talking Story: One Woman’s Quest to Preserve Ancient Spiritual and Healing Traditions, is a companion to her award-winning documentary film of the same name, Talking Story.
