The Call of Spirit

| with Evelyn Foreman | Wednesdays at 3 p.m. CT
The Call of Spirit

Program Overview

Hard work, perseverance, and “pushing through” have helped many of us succeed in life. Most often these achievements come at a price of compromise, sacrifice, and, at times, turning a deaf ear to the Call of Spirit. Perhaps this is an antiquated definition of success. It seems in most cases, those who succeed most profoundly and with the greatest meaning are those who embrace their passions and whose work is also their love.

On the road to success, many lose sight of dreams and abandon passion in favor of practicality. We don’t recognize the numbing effects that lead to dysfunction, addiction, and broken relationships. We plod through life. Each day brings the same old circumstances and our dreams and passions are abandoned as relics of our past. What happens next in this sojourn? Are you ready to fan the flame of passion? Our show explores the path of those who have!

Join our host, Evelyn Foreman, for heart-opening conversations and inspiring stories of discovery, awakening, and transformation. She will talk with those among us who have found Spirit’s calling as they share their experiences—both successes and failures—as part of their unfolding life journey.

Evelyn Foreman
Evelyn Foreman is no stranger to the Call of Spirit. As a third world refugee, Evelyn’s first example of transformation and listening to the Call of Spirit was at the age of 5. She witnessed her mother making a life-changing decision to give up all that she had to pursue a new life by boarding a refugee boat on a perilous journey across the ocean. Evelyn recognized the great value she gained from her mother’s decision and made her own life-changing decision to follow her passion in her mid-20s.

Having been successful all her life, Evelyn found herself bound for the top of a corporate career. Achieving success and prosperity by popular standards lead only to her emotional and spiritual bankruptcy. Living in New York City on 9/11, amidst the tragedy and turmoil, Evelyn realized that life is too short to settle for others’ standards. By listening deeply, she initiated a radical shift and lifestyle change that has given her life new direction, purpose, and meaning. Refugee no more, she is now a senior student minister at Unity Institute® and Seminary. She is on the Ministry
Ordination Path with Unity Worldwide Ministries.

Tune in as she shares her personal story while interviewing other inspiring, successful professionals who have made a dramatic shift from what they thought they “ought to be” to their life’s calling. Evelyn Foreman has a bachelor of science in international business, marketing, and economics. Her professional background has been in both corporate and nonprofit sectors.
